Tongue-in-cheek that Vampires Suck, but true nonetheless.:) They have frightened us for decades. Some are glamorous and “nice” while others horrifying in their evil deeds. Come along as we explore different types of novels in this genre.

Half human, half vampire, Jedidiah Israel Blake comes of age with his sire’s lust for blood. Wielding incredible power, Jed grows up next door with his childhood partner, Erin Constanza, sharing Jed’s monstrous secret of what his Mom thinks of as raising the ‘Dark Superman’.

Jed and Erin, now a policewoman with the Sacramento Police Department, find out their lives have been catalogued by a secret government group formed to watch Jed’s growth into adulthood power. They want to harness Jed’s blood lust for their own purposes.

He’s happy to oblige.

In the following struggle, the planet is divided among the strongest Undead until only two remain. Locked in a battle for domination of the Earth itself, European leader Celadon Korbel and Alixandra Pavlovna, Queen of the Americas, are now masters of the last remnants of humanity.

It’s bloody and brutal war and there can be only one victor, but what neither vampire ruler knows is that one of their human slaves has his own agenda and a definite plan to slant the outcome in the humans’ favor.

The war is tearing our world apart. Instead of big armies with tanks in the field, the Vampire War is fought in the streets, neighbor against neighbor, family against family. Anyone can turn at any time. The blood hunger can suddenly appear in the middle of a kiss. The person who sleeps next to you every night could wake up in the dead of night … hungry. So hungry.V Wars: Night Terrors collects all-new stories from the reporters embedded with the beats (humans) and the bloods (vampires). Each tale explores the nature of terror and peels back another layer of our comfort. Each tale bares our throat to the bite. New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Maberry and his team of frontline storytellers bring you all-new tales of horror and heroism, of pain and delight, of deadly despair and soaring courage. The war between beats and bloods is blazing. Pick a side.

I discovered this anthology on Amazon. Vampire Wars sounded intriguing coupled with one of my favorite authors, Jonathan Maberry, makes for a winning combination.

“There is a cadre of vampires in my town, but no one believes me!” These words were spoken into an electronic device that was found in the woods. John Abbott is now missing. Follow Deputy Sheriff Fred Turner as the mystery deepens and people who had gone missing are now showing up on a lonely road at night with glowing red eyes, pale skin, bald heads, and a taste for blood. Is it all real or just a delusion fabricated by a tortured soul?

For those who want Romance with a bite, I found this little jem on Amazon for your pleasure.
